In Module 5 we looked at the use of the various types of lenses used for cameras in a IP-based video security systems.

In this module, we will be taking a close look at digital displays, switchers and camera control methods. We will also explore video storage devices used to archive and protect video surveillance files.

After you complete this course, you should be able to:
  • Explain the basics of monitors and storage devices used in IP-based Video Surveillance Systems.
  • Differentiate between the different types of monitors being used today.
  • Outline environmental factors that may affect personnel who monitor video feeds.
  • Understand how video storage is optimized through networked and Web-based storage strategies.
